Accomplished artist, her
career spans a lifetime. Prior to settling in
Blairsville, Georgia, her career was in advertising and
marketing for a statewide Florida financial institution
where she was the editor of the company’s weekly
newsletter and monthly magazine, as well as the official
photographer and artist.
Eleanore completed (with
honors) a three year course in graphic art in 1991.
Since then, she has studied under noted artists around
the country including Don Andrews, Sue Archer, Mary Todd
Beam, Mary Ann Beckwith, Carry Brown, Tony Couch, Gary Gessford, Tom Jones, Ingrid Lederer, Ted Menchin, Sherri
O’Neill, Marilyn Hughey Phillis, Susanna Spann, Jo
Tarabula and Pat Weaver. She also studied abroad with
Ingrid (in Russia,) Jo Tatabula (in England) and Pat
Weaver (in both France and Italy.)
She has appeared in
numerous juried shows and received many awards. Her
works appear from Maine to California. She has been
commissioned on both the corporate and private level.
Her architectural renderings include homes, churches and
public buildings.
Current events have
Eleanore teaching an art class at Young Harris College
ICL (Institute of Continuing Learning) in Young Harris,
Georgia. She is also giving
private (watercolor) lessons in her home.
As a writer, Eleanore has
been writing articles for Young Harris College ICL
quarterly newsletter. She is also a member of the
Georgia Mountain Writer’s Group and the Writing Class at
OASIS (Older Adult Senior’s in Service.” This writer’s
group wrote a one act play this spring which they
recently performed before a live audience. Eleanore commented: “It’s
not “Summer Stock” but “Spring Review” and we all had a
blast putting the play on.”
This artist is not
letting any grass grow under her feet!
